Did You See the Invisible?

This work draws inspiration from my personal experiences, using short films as a medium to explore my understanding of mysticism. I chose moving images for their ability to convey narrative most directly and intuitively. The short film unfolds not only as the protagonist's journey through the external world but also as a projection of their subconscious, blurring the boundaries between reality and perception.

Presented within a black-box environment, the exhibition space becomes an introspective and self-aware field. The viewing experience itself becomes an intervention in the narrative—where the audience is simultaneously the observer and the observed. The film exists on a two-dimensional plane, while the black box forms a three-dimensional space, creating a dynamic interplay between presence and perception. As the protagonist and the viewer engage in mutual observation, their identities collapse into a state of polymorphic superposition.

This spatial and conceptual ambiguity deforms the boundaries of perception: inside and outside, emptiness and fullness, presence and absence, the tangible and the invisible. Layers of history and consciousness converge and overlap. As the title suggests—Did You See the Invisible?—this work invites the viewer to question the nature of reality and materiality. What is seen is not always real, and what is unseen is not necessarily absent.
