This work re-emphasises gender inequality. There are always words that refer to male/female in different languages. Do people build up gender concepts because of the gender references in the language? The use of the veil is often associated with female or marriage customs. It is often seen as a symbol of chastity and protection from the devil. The veil objectifies female in disguise. I mimic the traditional marriaged family during videos. ‘I’ could be exist in any standardised, industrialised and mass-produced group photos. The soundtrack is my memory of being sexually harassed by a male teacher. The illusion of beauty is always a whitewash.
